Affection System

Through out your quest you will receive ‘gift items’ that increases the ‘happiness stat’.  Give this to one of the characters excluding Hayate (Giving it to Hayate will “waste” the item, and you don’t want to do that, considering these items are extremely scarce) to increase the bond between Hayate and that character.  Once the ‘happiness’ of one of the characters reaches a certain point, you will be able to watch an ‘affection conversation’ between Hayate and that character.  These conversations will further their relationship, develop their characters more, and increase their stats.  The ‘affection conversation events’ will pop up on the world map with the right criteria.  Go to the event signified by a ring of light on an overworld tile to activate the conversation.  Always be on the look out for these rings of light if you are actively trying to win one of the girls’ attention! There are a total of 5 level so of these conversations for each character.  Once level 5 is reached, Hayate and that character will become an official couple and change the ending.  The stat increases will also stack, so once level 5 is reached, both characters will become very powerful.
Once a level 3 is reached for one character, no other characters can go beyond level 2, as level 3 is the point in which Hayate chooses who he wants to be with.

These are the thresholds in which a conversation will be available for the characters.
